Story Telling

Stories from classrooms are a very powerful way of influencing teachers' thinking and practice. Stories from your own classroom are perhaps the most powerful stories of all because, when retold, they transmit your personal passion.

You will find it helpful to collect and record significant stories, supported by children's work and photograph wherever possible. As you do build your own anthology please share it with your colleagues through this page.

Consider the stories below:

  • Do they influence your own thinking about teaching?
  • Can you use them to influence other teachers' vision of what children can do?
If so, then your own stories will be just as influential for someone else. To submit material contact Doug Williams, Project Manager, at: doug@blackdouglas.com.au
