Now you have a place to show off that great photo you took of your kids working with tasks.
You have saved me at least a week's work!With the assistance of helpers provided by the school Ina cleaned, sorted, replaced, organised and stacked. In this case her helpers were work experience students, who also had the skills to bar-cod every task so they could be loaned through the Library for Maths Around the Kitchen Table. (More details about that way of using the tasks in the Integrating Tasks link on the left.)

It really is worth making sure the construction is part of the task. Following the written instructions is a 'real life' application of mathematics and the box which results offers a truly challenging 3D spatial perception problem with links to problem solving strategies, volume concepts and 3D co-ordinate geometry.
