Squares Around Squares is a wonderful example of visual algebra. It can be tackled at a range of levels and includes content related to number patterns, linear relationships, quadratic relationships and the difference between two squares. No matter which level the task is used the focus is on seeing how the construction of the squares leads to the patterns and generalisations. More than that, the focus is on seeing these links in more than one way.
In Between Time involves problem solving on the clock face which relates to the different rates of movement of the hour and minute hands. It makes an excellent partner with Task 22, Time Together.

From September 4th the Australian Post Office discontinued its Economy Airmail service. We are now only able to send material by normal airmail. Clearly this change affects the final price to overseas clients, and given fluctuations in currency exchange, and other items which we cannot control, we have had to change procedures for overseas orders.
To make sure you receive the most economic price at the time of ordering we will, from now, only work in Australian Dollars for both advertised prices and payment. All price lists and price references are now in Australian dollars and payment can only be made with bank cheques or EFT payments in AUD. Our recognised efficiency and service can only be enhanced by this change in procedure.
Modern electronic banking procedures and email make it very easy to work in Australian Dollars and most clients from beyond Australia are already using the Electronic Funds Transfer approach.
