Thorne Grammar School (see Home/School Lending) was closed in 2004 and Trinity Academy was built as a sponsored local entry academy to replace it. Several staff moved from one school to the other and key mathematics teachers who did so were Susan Grace and Andy Martin. After a period of two years, which is part and parcel of establishing a new school, Andy and Susan began building on their Thorne experiences to introduce a Home Lending program to their new school.

Critical to a Home/School Lending program is the use of a journal which eventually develops into a 3-way conversation between student, parents and teacher. These photos were taken in the early stages of introducing the program to a Year 7 class.
